Annual “Up-to-Date Navigation Aids and Methods” Seminar

On 27-28 April, the annual “Up-to-Date Navigation Aids and Methods” seminar was held by Transas Aviation.

This year, the seminar called together more than 200 professionals from various government civil aviation agencies, design bureaus, airlines, airports, ATC organisations, etc.

The participants of the seminar discussed provisions of the FAR “Flight Preparation and Flight Operation in the RF Civil Aviation”, drafts of new regulatory documents for the GNSS-aided flight operation support, considered issues of introducing GLONASS /GPS satellite navigation equipment and helicopter modernising to comply with the prospective requirements.

The participants’ particular interest was attracted by reports on the application of the JAR-OPS operating minima determining technique and introduction of the Automatic Dependent Surveillance and Broadcast for the ATC purposes.

Presented to the seminar participants was equipment for complying with the FAR requirements.
