Mi-38 Integrated Helicopter Avionics System

IHAS-38

Mi-38 Integrated Helicopter Avionics System (IHAS-38) is designed to equip new Mi-38 multi-purpose helicopter. This system allows VFR and IFR flights with two member crew during day and night time in various geographic and climatic conditions, along airways, domestic airways and out of the indicated airways. The system meets AP-29 and FAR-29 requirements to category A aircraft equipment.

IHAS-38 outstands by essential increase of flight safety owing to terrain awareness and warning system, deep integration of avionics and helicopter systems along with computing and measuring systems redundancy. Built-in test equipment continuously monitors all systems during the flight and in case of failures the system is reconfigured without information loss for the crew.

Electronic indication system is built on five 12” multifunction displays to allow pilots monitoring flight and navigation information alongside with operation parameters of helicopter systems.
